17th & 18th Sep 2019 New York
Closing the gap between design and retail
PI Apparel brings together the fashion, apparel and footwear industry to discuss the opportunities and challenges of emerging digital technologies.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Supply Chain Forum in New York City, where we will expand on our success in product design, development and manufacturing to explore the strategic opportunities that digital technology presents on the entire end-to-end supply chain.
Over the last 20 years there has been an ever-increasing demand for greater speed and variety, but at a lower cost and with a more environmental outlook. To strike this balance, investing in new tools and methodologies with which to approach product ideation, design and production is non-negotiable. It is this very shift to a digital toolkit in the early back end of the fashion supply chain that will be at the center of this stream.
Deploying digital technologies and advanced processes within product creation is a start, but unless you see digital's truly end-to-end potential, you will never achieve the kind of ROI you, or your organization, needs to succeed. Once the product leaves the factory how can disruptive tools and a shift from a mass-production mindset only, achieve the kind of connectivity, transparency and consumer satisfaction that will set you apart from your competition?
PI Apparel SCF will take place at The Union League Club, a prestigious central Manhattan social club. Located on the corner of 37th Street and Park Avenue, The Union League Club is home to a distinguished art collection, a library, sports and fitness facilities, fine dining and catering, conference rooms and a gallery of art. It remains "a simple organization of a social nature", cherished by members and guests seeking a place of refuge in New York.
