Bob Wimpfheimer is the senior manager in charge of R&D Knowledge Management at Dr Pepper Snapple Group (soon to be Keurig Dr Pepper) in Texas. He is the business owner of Dr Pepper’s Infor PLM Optiva solution, along with a number of related tools. He has been working with Optiva for Dr Pepper since their first installation in 2003. Previously he worked for a number of packaged software companies as a software designer for 18 years.

He holds a BSc in Computer Science from SUNY Stony Brook and an MBA from UT Dallas.

Brian has over 20 years of industry and consulting experience in engineering effectiveness for highly complex/engineered product companies.  His expertise is in the areas of lean engineering, engineering process optimization, and the application of PLM tools to engineering processes. Brian leads the PLM technology practice across all industry sectors at Deloitte.  He has led multiple large-scale engineering effectiveness improvement programs both domestically and globally.

His area of expertise is the optimization of complex engineering organizations extending from product development through supplier operations. Brian is a certified Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt and has a track record of client success with performance improvement.

Brion has been developing product digitalization strategies in practically every industry for more than 20 years. During his career he also implemented and adopted and even designed PLM software and managed consultative service groups – particularly heavy in retail, footwear and apparel. As a consultant for some of the largest engineering and manufacturing companies in the world as well as advising for the top fashion brands in the industry, he has earned himself a promising seat with Capgemini leading the digital transformation strategy for their ever expansive global customer portfolio. 

Caralynn Nowinski Collens, M.D., serves as the Chief Executive Officer of UI LABS, a first-of-its-kind innovation accelerator designed to transform entire industries through collaboration. UI LABS solves large-scale challenges by bringing University + Industry together with startups and government to accelerate the deployment of emerging digital technologies, currently focused on digital manufacturing and smart infrastructure. Drawing from her past experiences as an entrepreneur, researcher, and venture capitalist, Caralynn offers a unique perspective to UI LABS’ efforts to foster innovation, encourage collaboration, and drive economic growth.

Prior to UI LABS, Caralynn was Associate Vice President for Innovation & Economic Development at the University of Illinois. Caralynn spent her early career in venture capital and corporate finance, primarily focused on technology-based university spin-outs. She was a Principal with early-stage venture capital firms ARCH Development Partners and Midwest Venture Partners, and Senior Vice President of Sikich Investment Banking. As a graduate student, she co-founded SanoGene Therapeutics, an early-stage biotechnology company, where, as CEO, she led the company’s spin-out from the University of Illinois and raised a strategic equity investment. Caralynn is a graduate of Northwestern University and she received her joint M.D./M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Caralynn is a Governor-appointed member of the Illinois Innovation & Competitiveness Council and currently serves as a member of World Business Chicago’s ChicagoNEXT Council of technology leaders. Caralynn serves on the Board and Executive Committee of mHub, Chicago’s start-up incubator focused on physical product development and manufacturing. Caralynn is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), The Chicago Network, the Commercial Club of Chicago, and the Economic Club of Chicago, and she also serves on the Board of Imerman Angels. Principal among her honors are inclusion on the Crain’s Chicago Business 2008 “Forty Under Forty” List and in the Chicago Council on Global Affairs Emerging Leaders Class of 2014. She is a frequent guest speaker on technology entrepreneurship and industrial innovation.

Charles (Chas) Marsh, Manager of Design Tools and Standards at Bell, is responsible for Systems and Processes Roadmap strategy: design; analysis & simulation; product lifecycle management; product structure; and general oversight of design tools to include user support and training. Chas currently supports the PLM/CAD/CES/MES community through the Community of Experts (COE) in Dassault Systemes Solutions serving on the Board of Directors. Chas has served as Program Manager of Bell’s Business Systems Modernization initiative and for the company’s CV62013x upgrade. Chas has a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Chris Johnson, a Senior Staff Aerospace Engineer with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, currently is a member of the Advanced Structures group in the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works). He has over 30 years experience in the design and analysis of aerospace structures, and in developing CAD and CAE tools and standards necessary for those tasks. His expertise includes computer-aided design and analysis, finite element modeling off light vehicles, multi-disciplinary optimization and software development and architecture.

He is a member of the Long Term Archiving and Retrieval, Engineering Simulation, and Analysis working group (LOTAR EAS). He has been active in the ISO10303209 ed2 project and has experience with STEP recommended practices and translator development. Mr. Johnson has an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), 1986; and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, 1984.

John Kelley from Oracle currently holds the position of Vice President, Product Strategy for the Product Value Chain (PVC) solution suite, which includes Innovation Management, Product Lifecycle Management, and Product Hub. John has years of experience in identifying the latest trends and challenges, turn these into products that deliver significant customer value and competitive advantage.  Prior to being acquired by Oracle, John Kelley held various positions within Agile including Product Management & Strategy and Business Consulting. Prior to Agile, he was with companies including i2, Aspect Development (SRM Solutions) and Cadence Design Systems.

Dr. Mike Jahadi has over 33 years’ experience in Implementing & Managing the development of CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM systems & methods at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics company.  In 1996 he was selected to participate on a team to identify the strategic needs for the Modeling and Simulation required to win the F-35 program. In 2008 he was selected as Lockheed Martin Technical Fellow.

His expertise has been in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM systems and methods and data exchange, he is currently supporting the Engineering and Technology Operations as Engineering Integrator and supporting/providing consulting to all programs within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company.

Since 2006, he has been President and Chairman of the Product Data Exchange Standard “PDES, Inc.“ Consortium, with 27 member companies. He is an Associate Fellow member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).  He has served as Chairman & Leader of the Advisory Panel for the National Research Board on Assessment of Manufacturing Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

In 2016 he was inducted to the “COE College of Fellows”. The COE Fellow Award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field of CAD/CAM/CAE/Cax process and the PLM industry.

Dr. Jahadi holds a B.S. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. He is also registered Professional Engineer in state of Texas.

Gary Johnson currently holds the position of Senior Manager Product Lifecycle Management in Global Shared Services at The Hershey Company.  In leading PLM efforts at Hershey, Gary manages a project office that facilitates all activities and approvals required to develop and launch new products, platforms, line extensions, and product changes globally. Most recently, Gary led an effort to create a content management process and organization to support Hershey’s Digital Commerce growth strategy.  He has also created a master data design that supports a global product catalog and enables growth in a variety of new channels.

Jeff has 30+ year management and technology experience as a consultant and IT Leader. He is an active change agent driving proper application SAP to deliver business value and has been deeply involved in many aspects of SAP including manufacturing and distribution, order automation, tooling management, variant configuration, engineering systems (PLM/DMS/CAD integration) and international SAP implementations.

One of the top Procter and Gamble experts in Front End Innovation (FEI) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Jeff combines mastery of FEI and PLM best practices with business knowledge, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of R&D and Manufacturing work processes to deliver core innovation capabilities to Procter and Gamble's R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations.

As an experienced technology manager with a proven track record of connecting consumer needs with technical solutions inside and outside of P&G that delight the consumer, Jeff successfully grows the business and strengthens the organization. He has broad experience across all P&G core categories business units and two geographies, leading technical and multi-functional teams to extraordinary outcomes.

Jiwan (jee' vin) is Chief Engineer of BCA Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI). In this role, he is responsible for leading the BCA Engineering capability (people, process and tools) strategy and integrating it across the BCA and the enterprise.
Prior to this assignment, Jiwan had management roles in Airplane Systems, Electrical Design, Boeing Airplane Services (now BGS), and Engineering Operations,
Jiwan started at Boeing in 1991 after attending the University of Washington and Seattle University (Electrical Engineering and MBA). He currently serves on the Dean of Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering Advisory Boards at Seattle U.

Jordan is a leading expert in digital innovation at Kalypso, helping clients drive results from disruptive business models and emerging technology trends such as IoT, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI. Jordan has a unique perspective on how companies can enhance their creative aptitude and maximize their return on innovation investments. He has an extensive portfolio of experience in mid-cap and S&P 500 environments, working with clients across a diverse range of industries including consumer products, high tech, industrial, automotive, and aerospace and defense.

Kevin Baughey is a cross functional leader in defining, refining, and delivering complex multidisciplinary systems. Broad knowledge in developing the business case, formulating marketing needs, defining/optimizing technical systems, and executing delivery of mechatronic and telematic systems. Focus areas have included machine-to-machine telemetry systems, consumer mobile devices, server/client telematics, and mobile payment platforms. Deep experience in quality operating systems (QOS), product development disciplines, FMEA, Control Plans, Six Sigma tools and methodologies, statistical process controls (SPC), lean manufacturing, product data management (PDM), product lifecycle management (PLM), etc.

Kevin  currently holds the position of Director of Role Portfolio for the ENOVIA brand at Dassault Systemes.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University and held various development and engineering positions at Ford Motor Company afterwards.  In addition, he received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Systems Design and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Dr. Korhan Sevenler is a Visiting Professor in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. He is also the Director of the PLM Lab, a collaboration between RIT and Siemens focused on PLM education and research. Before joining RIT in 2014, Dr. Sevenler spent 23 years at Xerox Corporation where he retired as Director of PLM. Before Xerox, he was Principal Research Scientist at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, OH, working on artificial intelligence applications in engineering for 11 years.

Lateef is a globally experienced, business development executive, enabling customers to achieve value-based business outcomes through digitalization and process optimization. He has a demonstrated track record for delivering consistent, best in class results, including product cost out, NPI cycle-time reduction, and achieving high product quality. He has over 20 years of product development and enterprise application experience across several industry verticals including medical device, consumer packaging, and heavy equipment.

Marc leads global strategy for Aras, an enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) leader, bringing an industry-focused view of product development, manufacturing, and the supply chain. Prior to Aras, Marc co-founded PartsDriver, a supply chain solution provider for the automotive aftermarket. Previously, he was with Analog Devices where he led a division-wide new product development and supply chain re-engineering project to address worldwide outsourcing. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant with MEAC on Lean enterprise methodologies and quality systems. Marc holds a BBA in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a member of APICS, Association for Manufacturing Excellence, and the Product Development and Management Association.

Mark's background experience covers mechanical and electrical product development from concept to release, discrete manufacturing, product lifecycle management, and information technologies.  Over his career, he has held various positions as product engineer, CAD Manager, IT Manager, Services Director and Partner Director.  At SAP, Mark brings his professional experience together to work with our customers and developers in the SAP PLM Solution Management group.

Mohit is a Sr. Business Analyst at Pella Corp. He has been instrumental the implementation, adoption, and evolution of Pella’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) architecture and processes. Mohit holds an MBA from the University of Texas, Austin and Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from India. In past, he has worked in Product Development, Product Management, and Project Management.

Nathan leads the Scientific Methods group at Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems.  He and his team are responsible for engineering methods, processes, and tools across the enterprise.  His areas of responsibility include PLM/CAE/CAD, computational software development, numerical simulation and High-Performance Computing (HPC), immersive visualization (VR/AR), additive manufacturing, engineering metrics and databases, statistical methods and product reliability.   Nathan has a BS degree and MS post-graduate work in mechanical engineering.  He has over 30 years of experience in engineering, rocket motor design, and manufacture, with over 25 years in engineering management.  He is focused on building great products and helping people, processes, and tools work better together.

Research engineer at Airbus Group Innovations from 1997 to 2018, Dr Nicolas Figay is an international expert involved in PLM interoperability governance initiatives (Airbus Group PLM Harmonization Strategic Standardization Committee, ASD Strategic Standardization Group). He has been involved in numerous research (RISESTEP, SAVE, IDEAS, ATHENA, CRESCENDO, IMAGINE, SIP) and standardization projects (ISO 10303). He obtained his PhD graduation in computer sciences in 2009, after his thesis “Interoperability of Technical Enterprise Applications”. He is the author of 30 research papers in journals and conferences. He recently joined Airbus Defense & Space as Advanced Engineering Enterprise Architect.

Noe joined Facebook in September 2015, where he leads the PLM Operations and Strategy. Before Facebook Noe was at Hewlett-Packard in a similar role supporting PCs, Laptops and all retail products. Noe also worked at Agile Software prior to the Oracle acquisition.  

Oleg is an entrepreneur, consultant and blogger. He has been building software products for data management, engineering and manufacturing for the last 20 years which has allowed him to gather experience across a diversity of fields, industries, customers, technologies, organizations, managements and communications. Oleg is CEO and co-founder of OpenBOM (TM) developing product-centric business applications for manufacturing companies and supply chain. At Beyond PLM, he consults companies in engineering and manufacturing with a primarily focus in data and produce lifecycle management strategy.

Paul is VP of Research for PI, with responsibilities for the development of all product offerings at PI. Paul has many years of experience working with a range of manufacturing leaders across 3D CAD, PLM and strategic business process improvement disciplines. More recently he led PLM programmes in both the UK Defence and Machinery industries, with responsibilities for PLM scope, strategy definition and delivery.  Paul has successfully delivered enterprise-wide performance improvements through change programmes, process optimisation and building effective DevOps teams.

Peter Bilello, President of the strategic management consulting and research firm CIMdata—an internationally recognized authority on PLM—has more than 24 years of experience in the development of business-enabling information technology (IT) solutions for research, engineering, and manufacturing organizations worldwide.

Praveen K Poojary has over 21 years of experience in Product Development, Systems Engineering, Simulation-Based Design, Project Management, and people leadership. He is currently working as an Engineering Director and leading Concept and Design Evaluation group in Whirlpool Corporation, MI, USA.

Prior to Whirlpool, he worked in the Turbine design and Engineering Service industries in India. He has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT India, and MBA from Purdue University, IN, USA. He also earned the PMI PMP certification, Six Sigma black belt, and several patents from his product development experience.

As a leader of Concept and Design Evaluation at Whirlpool, Praveen drives the simulation-based design (CAE, CFD, Virtual prototypes), Model Shops (Physical prototypes and additive manufacturing) and LIMS- Lab information management system (Data Acquisition, data analytics, DAQ, and Lab systems). Praveen worked on various work streams such as systems Engineering, Verification and Validation, Requirements specifications, Architecture management, MBSE, CAE, Lean PD, Data Analytics and product delivery excellence. He developed and delivered several subsystems in systems engineering framework in Whirlpool. He extensively supported to establish the simulation-based design group in India in 2004. He was very instrumental in developing the new capabilities, expanding the capacity, and building the infrastructure for the technology center in India.

Ray Hein is the CEO and co-founder of Propel, a SaaS provider that helps companies achieve product success by connecting the people, systems and processes needed to deliver products from concept to customer. Based on years of experience leading product management teams, Hein launched Propel in 2015 to disrupt a fragmented PLM industry. Propel’s solution combines PLM, QMS and PIM into one flexible and easy-to-use platform that natively integrates customer data from CRM, CPQ and field services. Prior to founding Propel, Hein served as Senior Vice President of Product Management at Apttus, where he was responsible for product strategy and new product launches. He has also held senior leadership roles at Vendavo and Centric Software. Hein spent nearly a decade at Agile Software where he led product strategy and development and created the company's product development roadmap.

Thomas Wendling, P.E. has 30 years of project and program management experience, currently working as a Professional Systems Engineer with Jacobs Buildings, Infrastructure, and Advanced Facilities (BIAF) line of business. Tom is also a member of Jacobs Connected Enterprise (JCE), which is a core company initiative to accelerate cross-functional digital strategies to harness technology for better business decisions and outcomes.

Tom currently serves on the board of advisors for the Integrated Engineering Blockchain Consortium, an organization that fosters engineering applications of blockchain technology. He served on the Enterprise Risk Management Symposium joint program committee of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Society of Actuaries, which provides thought leadership and best practices in risk management for the insurance industry. He is also a member of the board of directors of STEM School Highlands Ranch, a public learning community that innovates K-12 education to prepare students for an exponentially changing world.

Tom Norbut is an innovative and highly accomplished IT Manager equipped with 16+ years of combined business and technology experience that includes spearheading the implementation of new strategies for the design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large-scale network and multi-vendor desktop systems.

Tom’s current role in Trelleborg has him dealing with IoT and Production system topics from a Corporate IT Infrastructure perspective.  These new and exciting areas have generated a lot of buzz within his company and Tom is glad to be a part of the solutions being developed.

In his free time, Tom likes to spend time with his family and cook.  He can also be found fiddling with the odd IoT gadget trying to get it back online.
